Christian Fohouo
Controller
Christian is the Controller at Broad Street Realty. In this role, he has oversight of property accounting, cash management, banking, AR, AP, conversions systems, and is responsible for training and managing accounting staff.
Experience
Christian has over 15 years of professional experience in real estate corporate, operations and development. Prior to joining Broad Street, he was the Development Controller at Madison Marquette in Washington DC (Private equity real estate investment) where he managed all accounting and reporting functions for their national company's portfolio of real estate projects under construction and development. He was responsible for overseeing the contract administration process, maintaining and preparing cash flow projections, financial analysis, internal controls and financial statement preparation. Previous to Madison Marquette, Christian spent over 10 years with JBG Smith (NYSE: JBGS) and Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE: VNO) respectively as Fixed Asset Manager and Development Controller where he provided and managed full financial, accounting and budgeting support to a combined development and capital expenditures portfolio in excess of $3 billion dollars in aggregated value.
Education
Christian received his Bachelor of Business Administration from E.U Business School in Geneva, Switzerland and holds certificates in Forensic Accounting from Georgetown University and Financial Management from Cornell University.
Community/Personal Information
Christian enjoys reading, classical music, soccer, and travelling. Christian is fluent in French and German. He resides in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife Rolande and their three children.
